Jornets Costitx

History is written from below, through the voice and memory of the women and men who lived in the island's earliest settlements. Small clusters that gave rise to hamlets and, from there, to villages. This route links a hamlet of Sencelles with a sister town, Costitx, perched on a hillock from which the Pla can be seen. The connection runs along paths once trodden by farmers, traders, bailiffs, livestock traders... who came and went, now shaded by lush holm-oak woods, now sunlit through stretches of vines waiting to ripen. A route to get to know two settlements, to savour the essence of the lands that make them sister towns.
