Ethnological Sencelles: the old wind giants
From an ethnological point of view, Sencelles has managed to preserve a whole set of old mill towers that surround the town and define its skyline, silhouetted against the vast Mallorcan Pla. These giants, now without their sails, are the most direct testimony of an era of self-sufficiency, of making the fullest use of nature to meet human needs, and which have successfully adapted to modern times as homes.

Can Picapebre Windmill
The windmill is located on Carrer del General, right on the boundary between the town and the countryside. It takes its name from one of its owners at the end of the 19th century, Bartomeu Llabrés Picapebre. Even so, it seems the mill already existed in the 18th century. It has a base of two barrel-vaulted bays, with an external staircase leading up to the milling platform. The tower is circular in section, without its sails.
Can Cinto Windmill
It is located on Carrer dels Molins. It seems to have already existed in the 18th century, and by the end of the following century it belonged to Bartomeu Morro Sinto. The base is square in plan, with three vaults. The milling platform is reached via a two-flight external staircase. The doorway giving access to the platform has a lintel. By the end of the 20th century it no longer retained its machinery.
Can Mopi Windmill
This windmill (Carrer dels Molins, no. 7) appears to have existed in the 18th century. It later belonged to Rafel Vallès Mopi. It retains its square base, a single storey of considerable height. The tower is circular, with a lintelled doorway. It is covered by a twin-pitched roof. It has an external two-flight staircase.
En Ferrerico Windmill
It is located on Carrer de l'Església, practically at the start of the slope of the Camí del Pou Major. It was built by Rafel Ramon in 1829. It has a round-arched doorway, flanked by a window. On the left-hand side an attached staircase rises to the milling platform. The doorway of the tower, circular in section, has a lintel.
Can Mascaró Windmills
The two mills are located on Carrer del Capità and Carrer de So n'Arrom. They date from the 18th century. At the end of the 19th century, the one on Carrer Capità belonged to Francesc Llabrés Mascaró, while the second belonged to Miquel Oliver Moliner.
