Biniagual

The hamlet of Biniagual is an island within Mallorca, in the heart of the Raiguer. To the south-east of the municipality of Binissalem, right beside the old road to Muro, lies this small cluster of houses, which has its origins in the old Bany Ahwal estate ("son of the squinter"). Over the centuries the settlement grew until it brought together some ten properties. In the 18th century an oratory dedicated to the Immaculate Conception and to Saint Gall, an 8th-century Swiss monk, was consecrated. The hamlet has been fully restored and today is home to one of the most renowned wineries on the island.
